Interests: My true passions are ministry and kids! I love lots of things though...the leaves changing colors, the smell of fresh-cut grass, playing softball, having a baby fall asleep in my arms, just being with kids and being able to act like I'm a five year old little girl with crazy dreams again, sleeping in front of a fire place on a cold winter night, traveling(one day I am going to hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon), sunsets, rollerblading around Chicago, talking to people I love, laughing so hard I cry, taking pictures, thrift stores, walking along the beach and just being in awe of God's creation, listening to music and singing (alone because I'm the worst singer EVER), bowling, hanging out with friends, and just flat out enjoying creation and the life given to me by an awesome holy God who has at this very moment a plan for my life that is amazing beyond my comprehension. Oh yeah, did I mention I also love my wonderfully amazing boyfriend and man of my dreams, Andy? ;o)

| Only two days and I will be on my way back to BBC! Once again I did not update when I thought I would. lol That's okay though because I'm determined to do better. I haven't updated in so long that no one even reads my entries anymore! Oh well, that's okay because it will get better when school starts again. Right now I'm so excited about school but I have mixed feelings because I have really enjoyed being at home the past three weeks. I guess that's the life I have chosen though as I have lived in three different states in the past year! lol This summer as some of you may know, I worked at a camp in Michigan. I was not, however, a counselor like most people are when they work at camps; but instead I was a waitress in the kitchen. It was the farthest thing away from what most people want to do with their summer, and to be honest I didn't want to originally either. I knew it was God's will for me to work there though, and that's the posisiton that I got. So, I packed up the end of May and lived in the woods of norhthern Michigan for ten weeks. Although the job was not what I would have picked, it was by far the most valuable ten weeks of my life for growing spiritually that I have ever had. There are so many things that I learned that I would love to go on and on about, but I think I'll just name a few. The most important thing that I learned, which should seem obvious but sometimes I'm kind of slow, is how awesome and sufficient the Word of God is for everything in our lives. If you knew a person that had the right answer and advice to every problem you have or ever will have, wouldn't you want to be friends with that person and go to them for everything? The truth is that the Bible truly provides that and if we'd just live by it, our lives would be full of joy and victory. Secondly, I've learned a lot about the power of the tongue specifically when it comes to complaining and just being critical of others. It's very hard not to complain when you're working up to 18 hours a day doing the same thing day after day for very little pay but I know that God wants me to be content doing what He has for me. He also directly addresses complaining in His Word and tells us not to do it! Thirdly, I just learned this summer that more than anything I need to be completely happy and content doing God's will. My idea for the perfect summer was totally different than God's idea, and I struggled for a long time with letting go of the fact that I didn't like what I was doing this summer. But, somewhere along the line God reminded me that I was in His perfect will for my life....and isn't that a much better place to be??? I know it is but sometimes I get selfish and stupid for thinking my plans are better than God's. Basically, all things these things and so much more have just challenged me to be a different person. This year at school, which is coming up in just a few short days, I really want to be different. I know I'm going to get tired and stressed out just like everyone does. And I know that I'm going to want to complain about the shortcomings of our amazing school....But I know that it's God's will for me to be there studying to be in the ministry...And I know that He will give me His strength to make it through if I allow Him to...So my plan this year is to be totally different and see God do exceedingly abundantly above all that I can ask or think (Eph. 3:20.) Hopefully, all of you are doing well and are excited to get back to the daily grind of Bible college. Stay strong, stay focused, and make it count for the Kingdom! | | |
| Wow! I must say this is another new record for the longest amount of time without updating my Xanga! A lot has happended since I last updated, but I will fill you in on that later. I'm just excited to say I will be back at school in a few weeks! Hopefully then I will keep up with this better. For now I am going to talk to my man and then go to bed, and tomorrow I will really update. Good night!

| Wow! Well I think this is definitely a record for the longest amount of time between posts. I am a xanga failure! Oh well, if that is the worst of my problems then Im doing okay, right? lol At the very beginning of the semester, I wasn't too sure about some of my classes and just about everything. I even developed a pretty bad attitude about it all I am sad to say. In the past few weeks even though its been hard to adjust to the schedule again and even though its hard to go back to very little or no sleep, I am so thankful I am here at BBC preparing to be in the ministry. God is Amazing and I plan to take advantage of all the opportunities God gives me this semester to prepare for my future ministry. I hope you are all doing good and staying encouraged.
